U2 - 18 Singles : album review (621 words)
This new album claims on the cover to be "the ultimate U2 collection", which is quite frankly a laughable statement.
The band's two most recent albums are better represented, although whether four tracks need to be included from All That You Can't Leave Behind is debatable, especially when it means that the wondrous The Hands That Built America or Electrical Storm are missed out.
18 Singles is an odd compilation, in that it almost feels like an unofficial release, even down to the ancient photographs littering the booklet.
Encyclopedia: Apollo 18 (album) (1242 words)
Apollo 18 is They Might Be Giants' fourth studio album, although it is the fifth disc in their discography.
The album marked the first conscious effort by John Linnell and John Flansburgh to branch out of their early sound, opting for more traditional rock rhythms and fuller arrangements.
The group even performed the album in its entirety at a few special shows in 2003.
