The 1959 Tour de France, occuring between June 25th and July 18th of the year, featured 120 riders, of which 65 finished. The Tour included 22 stages over 4391 kilometers , with the top finisher being Federico Bahamontes of Spain. The race began in Strasbourg and ended in Avenue of the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
