Rumors first surfaced in 2003[1] that the Mexican Grand Grix may one day return to the Formula One calendar at a new $70 million circuit, dubbed Mantarraya, to be built near CancĂșn.
After 2006 United States Grand Prix, Bernie Ecclestone announced that GP return in calendar for 2009.

The 1963 United States Grand Prix was a Formula One race held on October 6, 1963 at the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Race Course in Watkins Glen, New York.
The session was stopped for 30 minutes to clean up, but conditions were never again good enough for anyone to better their Friday times, so the top six were Graham Hill, Clark, Surtees, Ginther, and the Brabhams of Sir Jack and Dan Gurney.
A dummy grid was used for the first time in a Championship Grand Prix, and when the field moved forward to the starting grid, Clark's Lotus remained still.
