The Beirut car bombing of March 8, 1985, killed 85 people and wounded more than 200 in Beirut, Lebanon. The car bomb was an attempt to kill the Hezbollah's spiritual leader, Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah, who was not killed in the attack.
