The SanMarinoGrandPrix is a Formula One championship race which has been run at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in the small town of Imola, near the Apennine mountains in Italy, since 1981.
In 1980, the Italian GrandPrix moved from the high-speed Monza circuit to Imola, as a direct result of 1978's startline pile-up, which claimed the life of the popular Swedish driver Ronnie Peterson.
Following SanMarino, the CBS broadcast schedule continues with the Spanish GrandPrix in Barcelona on May 8th, the Canada GrandPrix in Montreal on June 12th and the German GrandPrix on July 24th.
The 1994SanMarinoGrandPrix was a Formula One motor race held on May 1, 1994 at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy.
It was the third race of the 1994Formula One season, and the first race of the season to be held in Europe.
The front two grid slots at the Monaco GrandPrix that year, which were painted with Brazilian and Austrian flags, were left clear in memory of the two drivers who had lost their lives.
