The explosions

At about 8:15pm on the 1st of October, 2005, Bali was rocked by another series of bomb blasts. According to reporters several blasts went off in the popular Kuta area as well as the popular shopping strip at Jimbaran Bay. Witnesses say that at least 30 people have died and many more are injured. A handful of the seriously injured are being moved to the local Denpasar hospital where in 2002, a special burns unit was built. Police are yet to make a statement. This is not what Bali needs now, what with the Schappelle Corby fiasco and the the 2002 bombings.
