The 2005 Indian Subcontinent earthquake occurred on October 8, 2005 at 03:50:38 UTC in the Kashmir India - Pakistan border region at 34°25′55″ N 73°32′13″ E. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) give its magnitude as 7.6 with an epicenter about 100 kilometers (60 miles) north-northeast of Islamabad at the depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from the surface. Japan's Meteorological Agency gave it a magnitude of 7.8. The Eathquake is classified as a Major Earthquake by USGS. Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name. ...
