Despite all of the distractions about Hurricane Katrina since it rocked the Gulf of Mexico, most noteably, Louisiana on August 29, 2005 LSU still managed to finish its season with an 11-2 record capped off by a 40-3 victory over a strong University of Miami team in the Peach Bowl without its starting QB, JaMarcus Russel.
