The 2006 Bahrain Grand Prix was a Formula One race, the first round of the World Championship, held on March 12, 2006 at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir, Bahrain. The race featured a new 3-part qualfiying system - the first two sections were ran under low fuel, with the slowest 6 cars eliminated in each of those, before the top 10 had a 20-minute session with race fuel, getting back however much fuel they use for the start of teh race (UK TV pundit Martin Brundle referred to the fuel credit as 'Tiger Tokens'). The result was that the Ferraris swept the front row. The 2006 Formula One season will be the fifty-seventh FIA Formula One World Championship season. ...
