Overview of the stages

The 2007 Giro d'Italia cycle race takes place from May 12 until June 3, 2007. The race kicked off in the island of Sardinia and will finish in Milan three weeks later. It features five mountain top finishes, of which one will be an individual time trial, and it will visit France and Austria. Italian stars Damiano Cunego, Danilo di Luca, Gilberto Simoni, Stefano Garzelli, Ricardo Riccò and Paolo Savoldelli have set this race as one of their major goals for the 2007 season.
