The St. Louis Cardinals 2007 season will start with the team raising their 2006 World Series championship banner at New Busch Stadium. They acquired free agent Adam Kennedy, who is currently the third player on the team who was a member of the Anaheim Angels' 2002 World Series championship team, along with 2006 World Series MVP shortstop David Eckstein, and third baseman Scott Spiezio. With Mark Mulder and 2005 Cy Young Award winner Chris Carpenter starting games on the mound, and closer Jason Isringhausen closing them out, the Cardinals are set to make a serious run at making the 2007 World Series.
