NATO Update - Week of 22-28 October 2001 (453 words)
The event, organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in cooperation with the Romanian Chamber of Deputies from 25 to 27 October, was attended by both Romanian Foreign Minister Mircea Geoana and Defence Minister Ioan Mircea Pascu.
On 26 October, NATO celebrated ten years of partnership and cooperation with its partner countries from Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucases and Central Asia, by organising a high-level conference at NATO HQ, Brussels.
A workshop held in Portugal from 28 to 30 October brought together some 30 experts from 11 countries to study the scientific and technological aspects of protecting populations and the environment from the adverse effects of munitions.
