OCCULTATION BY (350) ORNAMENTA - 2006 JUL 20
On 2006 Jul 20 UT, the 118 km diameter asteroid (350) Ornamenta will occult a 11.9 mag star in the constellation Sagittarius for observers along a path beginning near Sarina, running across central Queensland, passing near Birdsville, across northern South Australia and south-central Western Australia leaving near Dongarra.
In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 1.8 mag to 13.4 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 7.4 seconds.
