History

The history of the 41st Brigade can be traced back to 1940 when the US 41st Infanty Division was created for service in World War II. Years after the deactivation of the Division, the 41st was reinstated as the 41st Infantry Brigade as a roundout to the 7th ID with all the honors of its WWII predicessor bestowed upon it including the nicknames, "The Sunset Brigade" (which is reflected in the unit patch worn on uniforms) and "Jungleers".
