Number 292—SFBC International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFCC), a provider of specialized, outsourced drug development research services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, is a first time winner that showed an increase of 1,003 percent from $5,870,000 in 1998 to 64,740,000 in 2002.
Fast 500 winners in the Southeastern United States (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia) had the highest average percentage revenue growth of all the U.S. regions, 9,209 percent, which is up substantially from 2,325 percent in 2002 and 5,094 percent in 2001.
Percentages for the 2003 Fast 500 winners ranged from 469 percent to 296,080 percent, compared to 614 percent to 293,493 percent for 2002 winners; 824 to 115,874 for 2001 winners; and 593 to 71,257 percent for 2000 winners.
