The 7.63 x 25 mm Mauser (.30 Mauser Automatic) round was the original ammunition of the Mauser C96 service pistol. It is sometimes confused with the later 7.65 x 23mm Luger. The 7.65 mm Borchardt cartridge was the basis of this cartridge and the 7.62x25 Tokarev was based on the 7.63 x 25 mm Mauser cartridge.
