The Supervisor shall be authorized to take full charge of the affairs of Local Union 734 during the period of supervision and to take any and all action that, in the Supervisor’s judgment, is necessary to preserve or manage the subordinate body and to protect its interests consistent with this Agreement.
Rosado and Gambardella were officers of Local 734 and Trustees of the Funds, and thus their conduct as trustees is within the jurisdiction of the LIUNA Ethical Practices Code and the Ethics and Disciplinary Procedure.
Local 734’s Trustee is directed to examine the role of prior Local 734 accountants, and prior accountants and actuaries for the Funds, to determine whether the failure to discover these abuses resulted from a departure from the applicable professional standards.
However, the employee and noncareer SES employee may not participate in demonstrations or parades which are sponsored by a political party, a partisan political group, or an individual who is running for nomination to be a candidate for partisan political office.
Example 6: An employee, or noncareer SES employee who is subject to subpart D of this part 734, may not wear partisan political buttons or display partisan political pictures, signs, stickers, or badges while he or she is on duty or at his or her place of work.
Except as otherwise specified in this part 734, employees who are appointed by the President by and with the advice and consent of the Senate are subject to the provisions of subparts B and C of this part.
