Oceanic Airlines Flight 815, also known as Flight 815, was a fictional airline flight and crash from the television series Lost.
The survivors of the fuselage section amongst the wreckage of Flight 815.

Although the exact mechanics of the crash are uncertain, it seems plausible that the magnetic pull from the buildup was strong enough to rip the plane apart.
As with many occurrences with the numbers throughout the show, a common combination is 815 (or 0815).
In the scenes a few minutes before Flight 815 crashes, it is the middle of the day, however if they left Sydney at 2:55pm, they should have crashed at approximately 1am (8hr flying + 2hr time difference from Sydney), meaning that Flight 815 actually crashed on September 23.
