Plot

9 takes place in a world parallel to our own, in which the very legacy of humanity is threatened. A community of fully mobile rag dolls living a post-apocalyptic existence find one of their own, 9 (Wood), displaying leadership qualities that may help them to survive. The conflicted but resilient community includes 1 (Plummer), a domineering war veteran; 2 (Landau), an aged inventor; 5 (Reilly), a stalwart mechanic; 6 (Glover), a visionary and artist; and 7 (Connelly), a brave warrior. 9 was an a computer animated Academy Award-nominated short film directed by Shane Acker in 2005 and is the basis for the feature length film set to be released in December 2008. The film had a running of 11 minutes and was originally silent, with no voice work but there will be voice actors for the feature film. It was nominated on January 31, 2006 for the Academy Award for Animated Short Film.


Plot

The plot revolves around a "rag doll" character that fights a monster that has stolen the rest of his people's souls. The characters and sets are mostly comprised of every-day objects.
