What Jacobovici is apparently unaware of is that Kitchen, in studying the 1446 BC Exodus date preserved in 1 Kings 6:1, had determined in 1992 and 2003 that the figure of 480 years elapsing between the Exodus [and the start of the Temple construction] was contradicted by the texts.
We are told that in the fourth year of Solomon the Temple was begun (1 Kings 6:1) and that 480 years elapsed from the Exodus to this event.
