A Fire Inside is a 1999 EP released by AFI in 1998. It was the first disc AFI released that had Hunter Burgan as a permanent member. It is also the last release that Mark Stopholese played on. This EP's first two tracks are original songs by AFI. Tracks 3 and 4 are covers. 'Demonomania' was originally by The Misfits and T'he Hanging Garden' is originally by The Cure. A Fire Inside made their first foray in recording with the EP Dork (1993) with the band Loose Change, which included future AFI guitarist Jade Puget.
After recording the A Fire Inside EP for Adeline Records in 1998, Mark left the band and was replaced by Jade Puget.
