The book is much less a Davis memoir than an articulation of the secession argument.
According to a bibliography of the works of Jefferson Davis, this work was published in 1890 by Belford in New York.[1] Though unclear from the citation, "Belford" likely refers to "Belford, Clarke & Co.", a publishing house established in 1875.[2]
