A Todo Rock is Menudo's 12th album in Spanish released in 1983 featuring Ricky Melendez, Johnny Lozada, Charlie Rivera, and new members Ray Reyes, and Roy Rosello. This is the first time in six years that the group puts out an album featuring more than one new member. Ray Reyes replaced Xavier Serbia after Xavier reached the age limit. Roy Rosello replaced Miguel Cancel after Miguel decided to call it quits. This is also the first time that a member of the group decides to leave before his time was due. It is not clear why Miguel decided to quit, but some of the rumors that were going around was that Xavier was his best friend and Miguel did not want to go on without Xavier in the group. Another rumor was that he was offered to become a big star in Hollywood but nothing ever came out of it. People that write about rock say that it started as a rebellion, that it spoke to these needs in people to express their feelings.
If I were going to write about rock & roll music, I wouldn't write about it from that sociological standpoint and so forth because all that stuff really had to do with who you were.
Rock around the Clock think was a good movie about the source of what rock and roll was and Rock around the Clock was he background music for 1958 and that was right on.
