It was made in response to request for members of the RKO Radio Pictures staff to take a peek behind the scenes of the Walt Disney Studios. Walt used his jack of all trades, William E. Garrity to run this film together. It was Garrity who masterminded the technical innovations of Fantasia and Fantasound just a few years later. It was shot in the first week of July of 1937.
