Alan George Lafley, M.B.A. (born June 13, 1943) is an American businessman born in Keene, New Hampshire. He graduated from Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois. Lafley graduated with a B.A. from Hamilton College in 1969 and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1977 (after serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War). Lafley joined Procter & Gamble just after his graduation, in 1977. Still with the company, he currently is chief executive officer and executive director, having assumed office in 2000.
