Keikaku : Profiles : Acidman (847 words)
Despite being veterans of the major label scene in Japan, Acidman is one of the many bands still thought to be straddling the line between the underground and the big time.
Acidman carried a back catalogue of close to a half-dozen songs into the Sou sessions, and without such a luxury the follow-up album Loop required more than a year to record.
Acidman's fourth studio album was significantly toned down in comparison to its three predecessors.
Keikaku : Features : Acidman @ Kogakuin University live (641 words)
All-too-easy comparisons to The Back Horn aside, Acidman was pulling double-duty as far as expectations from this show, considering how the trio managed to quickly leapfrog their songwriting efforts and strengthen their chops through three successive albums culminating in 2004's impressive equal.
Through most of their set, Acidman was unable to present their live material in a significantly more compelling manner than their studio recordings.
The Acidman of the day (then a quartet) played on a makeshift stage in the school's cafeteria, only drawing 10 or 20 onlookers to their performance.
