The Alaska Time Zone is a Time Zone located west of the Pacific Time Zone. The time zone is UTC-9, that is, nine hours behind UTC.


It includes all of the state of Alaska, except for the Aleutian Islands west of 169º30' W. The western Aleutians observe Hawaii-Aleutian Time, one hour behind the remainder of the state.
