On February 9, 2006, the AMV Board of Directors adopted a plan for the complete liquidation and dissolution of the Company (the "Plan"), which was approved by AmeriVest's stockholders on May 24, 2006.
The payment of a liquidating distribution in March 2007 is contingent on the absence of the initiation or threat of any claim or cause of action against the Company, which the Trustee, in its sole discretion, determines to necessitate the retention of such funds.
As part of the transfer, each AMV shareholder of record on December 27, 2006 has automatically become the holder of one unit of beneficial interest in the Trust for each share of AMV common stock, and all outstanding shares of AMV common stock have automatically been deemed canceled.

While most often made for fun, anime conventions have made AMVs into a very competitive part of their programs receiving several hundred entries every year.
There really are no rules to making an AMV just as long as the majority of the video comes from anime and the majority of the audio is music.
