China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I) is a Chinese consortium of aircraft manufacturers. The consortium was created on July, 01, 1999 by splitting the state-own consortium China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) into AVIC I and AVIC II. AVIC I is focused on the large plane such as bomber (Xian H-6, Xian JH-7), medium commercial plane (ARJ-21), or fighter plane (J-7, J-8, J-10, J-11, and JF-17), while AVIC II is focused on smaller plane and helicopters. China Aviation Industry Corporation is a Chinese consortium of aircraft manufacturers under Aviation Industries of China (AVIC) I and AVIC II.
