Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen - ifa-galleries - Arabian Worlds - Fashion Worlds. Najia Abadi (236 words)
Abadi prefers silky and often diaphanous materials in bold, vivid monochromes because she is convinced these give her more creative freedom.
Although Abadi has her flowing materials embroidered, also with pearls and beads, which makes them appear luxurious, her models possess a striking clarity and simplicity of line and cut to emphasize the femininity and graceful movement of the women who will wear them.
Najia Abadi, born in Casablanca in 1958, studied at the Paris school of fashion design, the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, from which she graduated in 1979.
