Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 300 people, 124 households, and 89 families residing in the city. The population density is 199.7/km˛ (518.0/mi˛). There are 144 housing units at an average density of 95.9/km˛ (248.6/mi˛). The racial makeup of the city is 96.00% White, 1.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 3.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 5.67% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 124 households out of which 29.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.9% are married couples living together, 6.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% are non-families. 27.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
