It was in the 1999-2000 World Series that he rose to fame. In that tournament Razzaq was man of the series for his brilliant all round performance. In a pool match in Hobart against India Razzaq scored a half century and took five wickets. In that same tournament he hit Glenn McGrath for 5 smashing fours in an over.
