After purchasing the Aberfoyle Springs (and Aberfoyle Springs' market share) in 2002, Nestle changed their labels to first "Nestle Aberfoyle," and then to simply "Nestle Purelife," Nestle then removed the Spring water product from bottles bearing that label and replaced it with purified tap water in 2005. A call to Nestle at 1-866-599-8980 in May 2005 confirmed that they had done away with the Aberfoyle Spring water product and replaced it with purified tap water, but they claimed not to know what had become of Aberfoyle Springs itself.
