They made one album, but Edling had already started working on a second album with a different line-up. However, due to the commercial failure of Abstrakt Algebra, Edling reformed Candlemass while taking with him some of the ideas for that second album, as well as drummer Jejo Perkovic. Candlemass then disbanded, partly because the album was unsuccessful and partly because Leif Edling had formed another project under the name of AbstraktAlgebra.
With AbstraktAlgebra not doing well, Leif suddenly recruited a new line-up under the name of Candlemass and recorded the album Dactylis Glomerata, which was a combination of songs for a new Abstakt Algebra CD and some new material.
In the meantime, Leif Edling started a new project, Krux, with former AbstraktAlgebra singer Mats Leven and two members of Entombed.
