Aboulia or Abulia, in neurology, refers to a lack of will or initiative. It is usually result of physical damage to the brain, result of diseases like encephalitis lethargica or extensive lobotomy. The patient is unable to act or make decisions independently.


The opposite of aboulia is hyberboulia.
