Acanthosaura species are medium sized arboreal lizards that range from Burma, Thailand, western Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and southern China.
Mine are all Acanthosaura capra as are most of the imports in the United States.
Habitat: as far as is known, the tops of the large rain forest trees.

Acanthosaura species, also known as mountain horned dragons (MHDs) are arboreal lizards that are found in Southeast Asia.
They are medium-sized, ranging from about 7 1/2 inches up to 15 inches.
MHDs are popular as pets, the most common of which in the US is acanthosaura capra.
