Acme was a German metalcore band formed in 1991. Members of the band were in their teens when they started out and avoided photos in interviews and liner notes to maintain the image of "toughness" that the music created. The band broke up in 1994 and members cite their young age at the time they formed as being a big factor. They only released a demo and a 7" on Machination Records along with a track on each of the compilations: "No Disire To Continue Living" on Farewell Records, "PLOT" on X-Mist/PLOT Records and "All The Presidents Men" on Old Glory Records. Years after Acme disbanded the discography album "...To Reduce The Chior To One Solist" was released on Edision Recordings (a branch of Very Distribution). Some of the Acme members went on to form Systral along with members of German metalcore band Mörser.
