The Acorn Stakes is a Grade I race at Belmont Park for three-year-old fillies. The race is in its 75th Running for 2006 and is raced for a purse of $250,000. The race is run at one mile on the main dirt track. Many popular proposals call for the inclusion of the Acorn in the Triple Tiara of Thoroughbred Racing. It was formerly included in that series but was replaced by the Alabama Stakes. It is raced on the same day as the Belmont Stakes.
