The Action of 3 September 1773 was a naval battle between Russia and the Ottoman Empire which took place on 3 September 1773. It was a minor engagement, part of the fourth Russo-Turkish War. The battle saw 6 Russian ships opposed by 3 Turkish battleships, 4 frigates, plus a number of smaller vessels. The Russians were victorious.


The Russian ships were the frigate Vtoroi (possibly not the actual name of the ship) 32 and the smaller vessels Azov 16, Modon 16 and Zhurzha 16, together with a gunboat and a fireship.
