He was sacked by Sheffield Wednesday early in the 2005/06 season for what was called a breach of club discipline, but was reinstated after an appeal by the PFA. This allowed him to join Ipswich on a short-term basis, before being released. Sheffield Wednesday

Adam Proudlock spent nearly 2 years at Sheffield Wednesday. In the 2004-2005 season Proudlock scored 6 goals in 14 games, then broke his leg in training. 7 months later he was cut from Sheffield Wednesday, and found himself without a club.


Stockport County

Adam joined Stockport County on a short-term contract in august 2006, after impressing in a few games he was handed a contract til Christmas by County manager Jim Gannon. After a goal-filled spell between novemmber and january he was handed a 18-month-deal which would keep him at Edgeley Park til summer 2008. Proudlock's form however dropped at the end of January and he would not score until late august. After scoring his first goal in 8 months in the 4-3 League Cup defeat at Charlton Athletic he hit form again scoring twice away at Mansfield Town and grabbed the equaliser in the following game at home to Shrewsbury Town.
