Adios was originally conceived as KMFDM's parting shot to its longtime record label, Wax Trax! Records. But it also ended up signaling the break-up of KMFDM itself, at least for a time. This was the last album to feature En Esch and Günter Schulz, who went on to become Slick Idiot. Following the break-up, founding KMFDM member Sascha Konietzko went on to create MDFMK before recreating KMFDM without En Esch and Schulz.
Adios is a collection of some of Audio AdrenalineÂ’s greatest hits, largely in a chronological format, tracking successful songs across the years.
The most recognizable change during the course of the album is not in the stylistic changes to Audio AÂ’s music over time, but in the emergence of guitarist Tyler Burkum as a vocal lead.
Even if you are a listener who had no “personal history” with the band, this album can serve as a worthy introduction to the highlights of what Audio Adrenaline has offered to Christian music fans worldwide.
