He wrote the foreword to Fritz Zorn’s controversial memoirs Mars, a book that pointed out the supposedly “cancer-causing” lifestyle of Zurich’s wealthy gold coast, provocated a scandal in Switzerland, and who’s author died of cancer before its release. Adolf Muschg kann auf ein umfangreiches Werk blicken.
Muschg spiegelt darin keine Erlösungsparabel mehr, vielmehr schildert er den Gral "inmitten der Welt" als ungastlichen Ort: als ein dunkles Loch, in dem sich nicht leben, nur heilig und stumpfsinnig darben lässt.
