Adverbial participle is a lexical category in the grammar of some languages (Russian ^[1], Hungarian, many Eskimo languages, e.g. Sireniki Eskimo ^[2]). In most cases, it plays the role of the sentence element called adverbial — thus it can usually be translated into English by using an appropriate adverbial clause.
