First published in 1978, Adweek covers creativity, client/agency relationships, global advertising, accounts in review, and new campaigns. During this time, it has covered several notable shifts, including cable television, the shift away from commission-based agency fees, and the Internet.


Adweek is published in six regional editions: east, Midwest, New England, southeast, southwest, and west. They publish fifty-one issues a year (skipping the last week of December). They are currently owned by Dutch conglomerate VNU. VNU (Verenigde Nederlandse Uitgeversbedrijven), which translates into English as United Dutch Publishing Companies) is a Dutch media conglomerate. ...
