Plot

Nick and Nora return to their home in San Francisco where the murder victim and suspects are members of Nora's high-society family. The Charleses are sucked into another murder case via Nora's cousin Selma Landis, whose husband Robert has vanished. He has been conducting an affair with nightclub thrush Polly and is also blackmailing gangster Dancer.
