The family reign ruled the Agame people through the 'Era of Princes', and continued to govern until Mengistu's invasion and the reign of the Red Terror begun in 1974. They were a ruling family so powerful, with such a dynamic legacy that at the beginning of the Fascist occupation in 1936, Pietro Badoglio (Italian Viceroy) despatched a telegram to Mussolini proposing that the new ethiopian fascist government include some of the old Ethiopian ruling class, including this royal family. Quote: "In the region between Shoa and Eritrea, there were local noble families which it was not convenient to slight because they had exercised command for generations and have authority and prestige which can be valuable for us."1 Adigrat is a town in the Tigray region (or kilil) of Ethiopia that As of 1994, it had a population of around 37,417 people. ... "Official" Ethiopian records have this family begun by King Margedir of Rome and Elleni, sister of King Solomon. More recently this lineage of the rulers of Agame looks like this: Solomon or Shlomo (Hebrew: שְׁלֹמֹה; Standard Hebrew: Šəlomo; Tiberian Hebrew: Šəlōmōh, meaning peace; Arabic: سليمان Sulayman) in the Tanakh (Old Testament), also called Jedidiah, was the third and last King of united Israel (including Judah), builder of the temple in Jerusalem, renowned for his great wisdom and wealth and power...

AGAME, Benin, May 28 (Reuters) - Togo's security forces are still hunting opposition supporters and driving people to flee, a month after disputed polls triggered bloody protests, refugees in neighbouring Benin said on Saturday.
