Agios Georgios (Greek: Άγιος Γεώργιος, Saint George) is a quarter of the community of Rio. Its area is just a width of about 1 km and by about 100 m. The area is about 1,200 km. The neighboring places are Rio along with the highway to the west, Kastritsi to the northeast and is accessed to the northern part of the Panachaicus, the university and the hospital to the east and the river to the south. It is located 8 km NE of Patras. The quarter is passed by the old highway.
This quarter of Rio has a church, a small square (plateia). Farming used to dominate the lands east of the community. But when a university and a hospital came over, that part of the land is lost. The interchange with the toll highway is to the north.
