The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio in Area B. The Institute includes a School of Systems and Logistics, and a School of Engineering. Its primary purpose is to provide continuing specialized education to United States Air Force military and civilian employees. Both schools offer graduate degrees in several fields. The undergraduate classes are usually 1-4 week intensive training sessions. Each class has a permanently assigned instructor who is augmented by experts in their fields from actual working sites. The AirForceInstitute of Technology (AFIT) is a scientific and research organisation established in 1953.
AFIT can upgrade weapon systems for aircraft, as well as develop new designs of air weapons and aerial targets (bombs, airborne rocket launchers and bomb fuses), and new ground-based and flying testing systems for airforces.
AFIT supplies quality assessment of engine fuels, lubricating oils, lubricating greases, preservatives, engine coolants, break fluids, industrial (processing) fluids, bio-fuels and bio-components for fuels and oils.
