History
Ajlun is one of the most beautiful cities in Jordan, and is famous for its castle, also known as "Qala'at Ajlun", old name was Qal'at Salah Ad-Dein. The castle was built as a garrison to protect Ajlun strategic geography from the crusaders. After the Crusades, the castle became home for the families (Predominantly Al-Smadi and Al-Rbadhi families) who lived in the vicinity of the castle.
