In 1994, with the launching of Arutz 2, Avni began hosting the date-show "Stutz" (Fling) and the musical "Pachot o Yoter" (More or Less).
However, up till that time Avni was basing his reputation as a mediocre actor only, and developed his hosting career in television and his stage talest as a show actor.
